James Chu En Vui

Yo everyone! My name has limited me to come up with any nicknames so you can just call me James. I'm a 19 year old dude who is currently studying Diploma in Mass Communication at IACT College.

I always had a deep admiration for any form of art whether that'll be drawing, photography or music. However, I find it quite difficult to even express or create my own form of art for myself to admire or to share. But when I got enrolled into photography class, I realize a camera is more than just a snapping device to take pictures. Things such as lighting or compositions were alien to me before until I started practicing it myself through assignments and dang was I blown away by it.

Boy in the Mirror

It was at the crack of dawn near 4.30am. As I was struggling to find inspiration for this assignment. I was starring aimlessly through my living room and behold an old photo of me hanging on the wall reminding me about the innocence and carefree life I once had as a child became the focus for this picture.

Heart in a Cage

It was nearly after the sunset, when my friend (the model) and I was at a local playground not far from our houses which became the perfect spot for coming up with ideas as it was places were limited due to the MCO.

We were both feeling down that time even when we were meeting up in a place of joy (playground) as the new way of living has changed how we interact with everything in our everyday lives.

Happiness is a Warm Tea

It was at a cold and heavy rain, my mother urge me to try a sweet glass of tea as I was too cold to even move a muscle from my room and it was from that day on, drinking a cup of tea became my cup of tea and also became the inspiration for this picture.

I am grateful that I was able to learn different skills and concepts from photography class and use it create my own form of art through the lens of a camera. Also, thanks for viewing my photos as I'm still in the process of learning new stuff. You have a good day now :P
