Ignatius Augustine

Hey there, Thanks for checking out my blogpost. My name is Ignatius. I am an 18 year old student from DIBF 202001. I am an aspiring filmmaker and video editor.

This year has been difficult for everyone due to the necessary restrictions implemented. Like many others I now spend most of my time at home. So I decided to pick up new skills. One of them being 3D animation, which I have been studying since the beginning of the shutdown. Through this class I learnt to develop another new skill, photography. Although I am still an amateur, I am pleased to have learnt what I now know.

This photograph was taken in Jonker Street night market in Malacca. My intention of this photograph was to get a candid moment of the people in the market.

Product Poster with Model

For this picture, I used a telephoto lens to reduce the perception of depth. I knew I wanted this poster to have a complimentary color scheme, so I asked my model to wear a dark blue shirt to contrast against the bright yellow bottle.

Stylized Product Poster

This image was achieved using 3 point lighting. For the glowing liquid effect, I positioned an additional light next to the bottle opposite of the camera. I used a home made green screen to easily replace the product background.
