RESH

Hey stranger, you doing okay? I hope you're well. It's been a tough year and I hope everything is well on your end. Welcome to my blog, my name is Resh and I'm 22 years old. I'm an avid reader, lifelong learner, coffee lover and an introvert who loves pan mee. I am currently pursuing my Diploma in Mass Communication at IACT. There was always an artsy side that hid deep within me but I never dared to probe further into it until this year. A year full of discoveries and occasional A-ha moments. Everything changed this year as I had to explore and embrace that hidden part of myself. It started off as a requirement then passion took over, drastically.

Every painter would need a subject to represent the artwork. In this context, I was the painter and the subject was Sagesh Rohan. Without him, my photos wouldn't have the opportunity to come to life. We're both conversationalists and I believe that is why we work well together. Communication is key in any form of relationship and we have mastered that over the years. The picture that you are seeing now was difficult to capture as the sun rays were beaming into his face. He held that gaze for multiple shots and in the end, it was captured. Brother, thank you for making this happen and I look forward to working with you again.

Some moments would only take place once in a lifetime and I have essentially captured that moment. This picture holds multitudes of emotions and I am happy to share it with all of you.

This is the first location & the first photo I've captured for my 1st assignment. It took me at least a couple of hours to get this shot as many people were marching up these steps. I have realized that photography requires a lot of patience and time. Nevertheless, I loved every second of it. It's always the first step that's the hardest to take but once that step is taken and if you look closely, you're in for a colorful journey.

Photography has taught me many things over the past few months and the journey continues. I am still learning and I am willing to fail in something I love. It is the only way for me to overcome that fear which hindered me for many years from venturing further into my "artsy side". Time to jump off the edge, figuratively of course.
