Hey you! Welcome to my blog. My name’s Adreanna Azmi, I’m 19-years-old and I’m a Mass Communication student in college. My first ever camera was a disposable camera that my parents gave me as a gift when I was much younger. Of course when I was little, I only took photos of random things for fun. Then, I got my first phone! So, I began capturing photos of the beach and other landscapes that I saw whenever I was travelling. As it got busier for me as a student, I slowly stopped travelling and capturing photos. However, all that changed when I began having Photography classes this semester.
This semester, I began developing a hobby in photography. My lovely parents gave me a present in May for my birthday, which was my very own camera. Learning new techniques and understanding how a camera worked was tough for me. After getting the hang of it, I genuinely enjoyed photography. I would be sweating and squatting outside at the porch of my house to shoot my assignment photos just so I could get decent sunlight. After a while, I managed to D.I.Y. my very own softbox so I could get a decent lighting for whenever I was doing a shoot indoors. Despite the limitations there were during MCO to capture better photos outdoors, I enjoyed shooting my photos for my assignments. So, I hope you enjoy looking through them below. Thanks for taking the time to read this introduction, you may now scroll down to look at some of my photos!
THE COLOURS IN LIFE

This photo was inspired by lipstick swatches that makeup artists usually apply on their arms. I wanted this photo to include different paint colours because colours are an element of art in photography. The way I see this photo is, our lives can stay as empty as a piece of white paper unless we add some colours to it. So just like this photo, it becomes more interesting to look at because it includes different colours.
QUARANTINE CHORES

During MCO, laundry somehow was done more than usual. It's most probably because my family and I would always immediately wash our clothes if we were ever returning home from being out. This photo was shot with a framing technique, where we can see the subject surrounded by other elements.

Nope, this is not a ‘wipe it down’ challenge. This is a photo of a car window being washed. We see the reflection of the woman washing the car, and the hanged laundry behind her. This photo was shot from an angle that would allow as much reflection to be seen, to indicate that this day was busy and filled with house chores.
A BREATH OF FRESH AIR

This is a portrait of a man who is having a picnic by himself. I shot and directed this photo with a composition and angle that would enable viewers to see all the important elements such as the warm tones, the green grass and plants, the colourful plates, and delicious foods and drink. I got my model to lay down on his side so that we could see his facial expression, which is to look relaxed while admiring the treats. From this shot, we can see that he’s having a breath of fresh air.
NIKE AIR MAX 97

This photo is an advertisement poster for the brand Nike. I shot this photo and made sure that the details of the shoes were clear and sharp. The pose shows both the in and outer sides of the shoes, so that viewers can have a full picture of what they look like. I also edited this photo to give it a crisp and clean design, while making sure it looks stylish too. The tagline 'sleek for the feet' delivers a small message, telling viewers that the Air Max 97 looks great the moment you put it on your feet.
You made it till the end! Thank you so much for reading my blog and looking through my photos. I would deeply appreciate it if you could leave a comment, as it would help all of us out. Be sure to also have a look at my Photography Portfolio below! Thanks again and I hope you'll have a good day :)
