Hello and welcome to my blog ! The name's Daniel Cheah but you can call me Dan. I am 21 years old and i am a student of Mass Communication at IACT College. I always had a thing for photography but i never really did it. I enjoyed looking at pictures but never went on to take those pictures myself. After thinking very thoroughly, I decided to take photography as a hobby. I was inspired by my cousin as he was a great photographer. Every single picture he took made me go 'WOW' and my interest in photography grew. Not until recently that I started taking pictures with the camera that I have which is the Sony A58 and I have to say it takes really good pictures. I especially love portrait photography. Therefore, here are my 5 best photos that I have taken throughout the semester.
TEDDY
This is my pet cat Tuesday's mini teddy bear. When I was about 4-7 years old, it used to be on my bed as a companion for me to fall asleep as I would feel lonely. Now, I gave it to Tuesday so that she would have 'someone' to hug. Although most of the times Tuesday sleeps with my parents on the bed, she would sometimes be seen hugging her teddy to sleep.
SPONTANEOUS
This photo was taken on a spontaneous trip for a fun photo-shoot with my friend Julian and the model in the picture, Hooi Chin. Discovering the hilly areas of Petaling Jaya was not part of the plan but in the end, it was. Full of greenery and big black tree barks was what made this photo... the photo. And not to forget the beautiful model :)
COLORS
I found that I could say things with colors and shapes that I could not say in any other way.
AIR FORCE 1 REACT
This photo was taken and edited for a conceptual advertising assignment. One of my all time favorite sneakers. The Nike Air Force 1. To me, it has everything I look for in a shoe. Comfort, Style, Uniqueness and Stability all in one.
TUESDAY
This is Tuesday. My pet cat that came to my front door out of nowhere on a Tuesday. Therefore, we gave her the name Tuesday. She brings joy to the family as she is very playful and naughty. She loves to scratch the sofa and has a fetish for straws and hairbands. This photo was taken using a shuttlecock container.
